Burying Cremains With Full Size Burial

I have a pre-paid burial plot. I wish to be buried and my husband wishes to be cremated. Can we use the same plot for both of us, since he will only have ashes? Are their federal rules governing this, and or is each cemetry allowed to make their own rules regarding this?

In most cemeteries they will let you bury cremains on the grave with a full size burial. You should check with the rules of your cemetey to be sure.
