| | | Betty Lindberg, age 53, of Sibley, Iowa, passed away on Wednesday, February 18, 2009, at Sanford Sheldon Hospital in Sheldon, Iowa.
Memorial services will be Monday, February 23, 2009, at 11:00 A.M. at the First Reformed Church in Sibley. Rev. Gary Van Heukelom officiating.
Betty Alice Lindberg was born on March 18, 1955, in Vineland, New Jersey. She was the daughter of Richard and Amedia (Phrampus) Conlan. She lived her youth and attended school in Vineland, New Jersey.
She was united in marriage to Roger Merle Lindberg of Dawson, Minnesota, on August 12, 1978, in Brookings, South Dakota. They lived in Camby, Minnesota before moving to Sibley, Iowa.
In 1978, Betty was in a motor vehicle accident and became wheelchair bound. She enjoyed reading, playing board games and cards, being outdoors, grilling, and being with family. She also enjoyed going to church, spending time with friends and helping people. She was known as a peacemaker by her family.
She was a member of the First Reformed Church in Sibley.
Betty passed away on Wednesday, February 18, 2009, at Sanford Sheldon Hospital in Sheldon, Iowa.
Those left to cherish her memories are her husband: Roger Lindberg of Sibley, IA; her children: Anthony James Lindberg of Sibley, IA, Jennifer Ann Lindberg of Sibley, IA, Richard Edward and Christina Lindberg of Sibley, IA, Rebecca JoAnn Lindberg of Sibley, IA; three grandchildren: Lora, Makayla and Garret; her mother: Amedia Conlan of Pitts Grove, NJ; four brothers: William Swain of Sibley, IA, Frank Swain of Lewiston, MN, Richard Conlan of Round Lake, MN, John Conlan of Keene, NH; one sister: Mary Swain of Bridgeton, NJ; many nieces and nephews; several friends and adopted family.
She was preceded in death by her father: Richard Conlan; sister: Julie; brother: Butch.
