Doris has play the organ for Anderson-Poindexter Funeral Home for several years. Organ playing is almost a lost art as many churchs and auditoriums have removed them. We have fewer families requesting an organist for their services than before, but when the need arises, Doris is always there to fill the position. Doris was married to the late Keith Thornton for many years and they have one son Michael, wife (Tamyra) and one grandson Shane. Doris is very active in her church at Linton First Baptist as their organist.
