Marian L. Baker, 87, of 1720 Cross St., Dover, O., died Wednesday, Oct. 28, 2009, in Hennis Care Centre at Dover, O.
Born Aug. 16, 1922, at Barnesville, O., she was the daughter of the late Lottie Helen (McGee) Sayre and the late Albert Ray Sayre.
Marian was a housewife. She was a member of the Church of Christ of Newcomerstown and Dover Church of Christ. She loved crocheting, singing and her grandkids.
She was married on Nov. 18, 1939, to John Kenneth Sheppard, who died Oct. 2, 1977. She was married on July 7, 1979, to Robert Lee Baker, who died on Dec. 30, 1999.
Survivors include one daughter, Bonnie Sayre of Newcomerstown; three grandchildren, Todd Haver (Sara), Tara (Rob) Goodwin and Jeff Simmons (April); and eight great-grandchildren.
She is preceded in death by two daughters, Suzanne Zurcher and Joan Margaret Sheppard; one grandson, Scott Ashley Zurcher; and two sisters, Hilda Rodrock and Peg Gilmore.
A private family memorial service will be held at a later date.
