| | | James H. Miller, 70, of 100 Oxford Square Apt. G3, Newcomerstown, O., died Thursday, Oct. 8, 2009, in Riverside Manor Nursing & Rehabilitation Center at Newcomerstown.
He was born Feb. 15, 1939, at Elmira, N.Y., to the late Marion M. (Hewitt) Miller and Ralph W. Miller.
He was a U.S. Air Force veteran, serving from Feb. 16, 1956, until Sept. 11, 1957.
He retired from the Cambridge Mental Health Center and was a truck driver.
He was a member of Loyal Order of the Moose No. 1337 Newcomerstown.
He is survived by his companion, Doris Hill of Newcomerstown; four sons, James H. Miller Jr. of Corning, N.Y., James W. Miller of Fort Sill, Okla., Tom E. Miller of Newcomerstown, Timothy M. Miller of Newcomerstown; one daughter, Joy Lynn Brandon of Gillette, Pa.; five grandchildren; two brothers, Richard W. Miller of Spring City, Tenn., Robert L. Miller of Mt. Gillion, Tenn.; one sister, Lucinda Mullis of Spring City, Tenn.
He was preceded in death by one brother, William E. Miller.
Graveside services will be held at West Lawn Cemetery in Newcomerstown on Monday, Oct. 12, 2009, beginning at 1 p.m. Rev. Chauncey Eggan will officiate. Visitation will be held in Addy Funeral Home at Newcomerstown on Monday, Oct. 12, 2009, from noon to 1 p.m. Military services will be conducted by Newcomerstown Veterans Honor Guard.
