| | | Paul C. Haver, 91, of 532 Heller Dr., Newcomerstown, passed away Sunday, Sept. 27, at Southeastern Ohio Regional Medical Center at Cambridge.
Born on June 30, 1918, in Tuscarawas County, he was the son of the late Perry Luther and Mary Ellen (Little) Haver. He was a World War II Army veteran and retired as a truck driver from Wenham Transportation. He attended Kings United Methodist Church and was a member of the VFW Post 2040, Coshocton, and the Retired Teamsters.
Surviving are his wife, Georgie W. Marlatt Haver, whom he married on April 28, 1942; two sons, Paul "Dusty" Haver and wife Donna and Roger Haver and wife Karen, all of Newcomerstown; two daughters, Mary Ellen Heston and husband Cliff of Kimbolton and Beverly Cox and husband Michael of Newcomerstown; seven grandchildren, Kris (Matt) Puskarich, Cindy (Scott) Sievers, Brian (Darlene) Heston, Mark Haver, Matthew Haver, Jeremy (Mary) Haver and Kathleen Cox; three great-grandchildren, Lucas and Benjamin Puskarich and Chase Haver; one sister, Ruth Addy and husband Bob of Keene.
He was preceded in death by two grandchildren, Lisa Heston and Jason Haver; two brothers, Raymond and Earl Haver and one sister, Geneva Saunders.
Services will be held at the Addy Funeral Home at Newcomerstown on Monday, Oct. 5, 2009, at 11 a.m. with the Rev. Kenneth G. Hacker officiating. Burial will follow at the West Lawn Cemetery at Newcomerstown will military honors performed by the Newcomerstown Veterans Honor Guard. Calling hours will be held at the Addy Funeral Home on Sunday, Oct. 4, 2009, from 2 to 4 p.m.
