| | | Shirley A. Smith, 73, of Coshocton, died Tuesday, August 18, 2009 at the Good Samaritan Hospital in Zanesville, Ohio.
She was born July 2, 1936 in Cambridge, Ohio to Luella Blattner and Jacob Blattner both deceased. Shirley was a Cambridge High School graduate. She was a homemaker and loved to watch game shows. On January 28, 1956 she married Ellsworth E. Smith who died March 29, 2005.
Survivors include six sons, Dale Smith of Coshocton, Dean Smith of Coshocton, Donald Smith of Coshocton, David Smith of Fredon, NJ, Martin Smith of Coshocton, Darrell "Charlie" Smith of Coshocton; one daughter, Denise Shample and husband Adrian of Fresno; 17 grandchildren; 11 great grandchildren; one brother, Martin Blattner of Columbus. She was preceded in death by eight brothers; and one sister.
Services will be at Addy Funeral Home on Thursday, August 20, 2009 beginning at 2:00 p.m. with Pastor Derek Hickman officiating. Burial will take place in West Lawn Cemetery, Newcomerstown, Ohio. Visitation will be at Addy Funeral Home on Thursday, August 20, 2009 from 12:00 p.m. to 2:00 p.m.
