| | | Mary Beal, 95 formerly of Salt Fork Road SW Newcomerstown, passed away Friday July 10, 2009 in Union Hospital, Dover Oh. Where she entered into the realm of Heaven and was greeted by her Lord and Savior Jesus Christ. She also resided for 5 years at Riverside Apartments in Newcomerstown, and prior to her death resided at New Dawn Rehabilitation Center in Dover.
Mary was a member of Irish Ridge United Methodist Church, where she taught Sunday school for many years. She was a 75 year member of the Rural Neighbors Club and was very active with this organization holding various offices throughout the years. Also, she was a member of Clear Fork 50 Plus Club.
Mary was born in Cambridge April 7, 1914 to her parents Frank and Alma Anker Smith. Preceding her in death was her Parents, four brothers, Clifford, George, Charles and Donald Smith, her son, Avonzo (Von) Beal, grandson Allen Beal, great grandson Timothy Thomas and daughter-in-law Doris Beal. On June 4 1931 she married Ray Beal who died March 13, 1984.
She is survived by her son and daughter-in-law, Raymond and Shirley Beal of Canton, daughter-in-law Marjorie Beal of Uhrichsville and sister-in-law Pauline Smith of Cambridge; five grandsons, Tracy (Carol) Beal of Winamac Indiana, Von (Alma) Beal of Marion, Scott Beal of Dover, Vince (Kelly) Beal of Uhrichsville and Todd (Rhonda) Beal of Dover; two granddaughters, Rhonda (Michael) Applebee of Sharon, PA. and Alison (Dean) Barnhart of Dover; 10 great-grandchildren, Jessica, Jennifer, Sarah, Corey, Kyle, Bryn, Derek, Sabrina, Abby and Grace; one great-great grandson, Devon; two step-grandsons, Barry and Gregg Elliott and one step great granddaughter Kelsey.
Calling hours will be on Sunday July 12, 2009 from 2 to 4 pm at the Addy Funeral Home in Newcomerstown. Funeral services will be on Monday July 13, 2009 at 11am at the Funeral Home with Pastor Chris Mulpas officiating. Burial will take place at Bell Cemetery in Guernsey County.
