| | | Harold Duane "Turtle" Lawver, age 70, of Coshocton, died Thursday, May 21, 2009 at Coshocton County Memorial Hospital. He was born November 15, 1938 in Newcomerstown, OH, to the late Crystal Ora (McCormick) and Roy Curtis Lawver.
Harold retired from Clow Water Systems in Coshocton after 30 years and attended Church of the Nazarene in Coshocton. He graduated from Newcomerstown High School, the class of 1956 and played basketball and fast pitch softball.
He is survived by his wife, Sharon R. (Milhoan) Lawver, who he married on November 23, 1958; four daughters, Terri L. Bailey and husband Russell of Plainfield, Shari Dianne Campbell and husband Kenneth of Newcomerstown, Rita Kay Buchanan and husband Roger of West Lafayette, Ronda Jean Hickman and husband Gene of Coshocton; one son, Thomas Duane Lawver and wife Shelly of Coshocton; 11 grandchildren, Valerie Dovenbarger, Joshua Hickman, Christina Horstmann, Ryan Campbell, Stephanie Campbell, Gabriella Campbell, Tommy Campbell, Colton Buchanan, Bradon Buchanan, Despy Lawver, Avril Lawver; one step granddaughter, Ragan Scher; four great-grandchildren, Jeffery and Brooklyn Dovenbarger, Avery and Christian Horstmann; three step great-grandchildren, Ashley, Nick and Sean; one brother, Carl Lawver; and many nieces and nephews.
He was preceded in death by his sister, LaVonne Lawver; three brothers, John, Marvin and Curt Lawver; two sisters-in-law, Cora and June Lawver.
Services will be held at Assembly of God, Newcomerstown on Wednesday, May 27, 2009 beginning at 11:00 a.m. with Rev. Richard Treat officiating. Burial will take place at Coshocton Co. Memorial Gardens, Coshocton. Visitation will take place at the Addy Funeral Home on Tuesday, May 26, 2009 from 6:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m. Arrangements by Addy Funeral Home.
