| | | Robert L. "Bob" Hawkins, age 76, of Newcomerstown, went to be with the Lord Wednesday, April 1, 2009 at Riverside Manor Nursing & Rehab Center, Newcomerstown.
He was born July 3, 1932 in Ann Arbor, MI, to Ida (Bischoff) Hawkins and Frank Hawkins, both deceased.
He retired from Perlis Plant in Ann Arbor, MI, in 1980 and then moved to Newcomerstown.
He was Baptized in a Baptist Church. Bob really enjoyed baseball and the Detroit Tigers. He never missed a game. He knew all the players' names, ages, and their salaries. He also had everybodys' birthdays remembered.
Bob is survived by one sister, Berverly Hickman of West Lafayette; several nieces and nephews.
Along with his parents, he was preceded in death by three brothers, Bill Hawkins, Donnie Hawkins, and Lee Bischoff.
Services will be at Addy Funeral Home on Friday, April 3, 2009 beginning at 1:00pm with Pastor Derek Hickman officiating. Burial will be in West Lawn Cemetery, Newcomerstown.
Visitation will be at Addy Funeral Home on Friday, April 3, 2009 from 11:00am to 1:00pm.
