| | | Barnabus T. "Barney" Brady, 62, died Wednesday, February 18, 2009 at his home. Born March 27, 1946 in Newcomerstown, OH, to the late Abby (Kites) Brady and Lester Brady.
He graduated from Newcomerstown High School. He was a Vietnam Army Veteran serving from May 23, 1967 - May 15, 1969. Barney worked as a truck driver for Ohio Carrier and was a member of the VFW Lodge.
Survivors include his wife, Jessie (Corpman) Brady whom he married on February 6, 1971; two sons, John Brady and wife Teresa of Savannah, GA, Todd Brady and wife Shelly of West Lafayette; two daughters, Brenda Brady of West Lafayette, Tammy Frye and Husband Scott of Coshocton; nine grandchildren, Natasha, Desmond, Brennan, Olivia, Taylor, Brianna, Alexis, Destiny, and Keerstin; one brother, George Brady and wife Terri of Crooksville; two sisters, Edna Brady of Newcomerstown, Vera Dyer and husband John of Canton; a sister-in-law, Loretta Brady of Newcomerstown.
He was preceded in death by his brother, Ed Brady.
Services will be at Addy Funeral Home on Monday, February 23, 2009 at 1PM with Rev. Lloyd Tenney officiating. Visitation will take place Sunday, February 22, 2009 from 2PM to 4PM at the funeral home. Burial will be in Plainfield Cemetery, in Plainfield, OH with military services conducted by Newcomerstown Veterans Honor Guard.
