| | | Mary Rose Bradford, 77, of 59381 County Rd. 9, Newcomerstown, O., went to be with the Lord Tuesday, Feb. 3, 2009, from her residence.
Born May 16, 1931, at Coshocton, O., she was the daughter of the late Artie (Van Alstyne) Babcock and the late Frank Babcock.
She retired as custodian from Ridgewood High School in 1997 after 25 years.
She was baptized at First Baptist Church of West Lafayette.
She enjoyed TV trivia shows, baking and cooking and loved taking care of grandkids and great-grandkids.
On Sept. 26, 1947, she married Lester W. Bradford, who died Jan. 13, 1994.
Survivors include four sons, Richard Bradford and wife Sharla and Frank Bradford and wife Terrie, all of Newcomerstown, Tim Bradford and wife Carol of Columbus, Matthew Bradford and companion Rebecca Smith of Ravenna; two daughters, Linda Bradford and companion Clayton Carpenter Jr. of West Lafayette, Lisa Mowery and husband Walter of Coshocton; 10 grandchildren; seven great-grandchildren; one step-great-grandchild; one sister, Kate Wilson of Coshocton; special friend, Pat Miller; special nephew, Gregory Norris and wife Nancy of Coshocton; and several nieces and nephews.
She was preceded in death by one son, Stephen Mark Bradford; one granddaughter, Leslie Nichol Bradford; two brothers, Frank Arnold Babcock and Clarence Abel Babcock; and one sister, Elsie Norris.
A memorial service will be held at Addy Funeral Home on Saturday, Feb. 7, 2009, beginning at 1 p.m. Rev. Ronald Davis will officiate.
