| | | Milford A. "Jack" Hart, 80, of 16091 Stocker Ridge Rd., Newcomerstown, died Saturday, Jan. 17, 2009, in Union Hospital at Dover, O.
Born Sept. 11, 1928, at Guernsey County, O., he was the son of the late Alice (Booth) Hart and the late Howard Hart.
He was an Army veteran of the Korean Conflict. He retired from Clow Water Systems of Coshocton and was a farmer.
He was a member of Elks Lodge No. 1555 of Newcomerstown and the American Legion Auxiliary Thomas C. Montgomery Post 431. He enjoyed spending time with all his friends at Frogtown. He loved to hunt, fish, and bowl.
On Nov. 12, 1953, he married Imogene (Stahl) Hart who died Aug. 14, 2000.
Survivors include two sons, Danny Hart and wife Mary of Maize, Kan., Tim Hart and wife Carol of Newcomerstown; seven grandchildren, Rachael Gilbert and husband Rob, Laura Wiley and husband Luke, Sarah Hart, Allison Hart, Samantha Hart, Jodie Casteel and husband Dave, Timothy Hart II, U.S.N.; seven great-grandchildren; four brothers, Lloyd Hart and wife Kathrine, Donald Hart and wife Marge, James Cliff Hart and wife June, all of Newcomerstown, and John Hart and wife Kay of Coshocton; and a friend, Mary Ann Marlatt.
He was preceded in death by three brothers, Gene Hart, Roger Hart and Tom Hart.
Services will be held at Addy Funeral Home on Thursday, Jan. 22, 2009, beginning at 11 a.m. Rev. Sharon Jacobsen will officiate. Burial will take place in West Lawn Cemetery at Newcomerstown, O. Visitation will be held in Addy Funeral Home on Wednesday, Jan. 21, 2009, from 6 to 9 p.m. and Thursday, Jan. 22, 2009, from 10 to 11 a.m. Military services will be conducted by Newcomerstown Veterans Honor Guard.
