| | | Ruth M. Berkshire, 84, of 1100 E. State Rd., Newcomerstown, O., formerly of Hartwood Rd., Newcomerstown, died Sunday, Nov. 30, 2008, in Union Hospital at Dover, O.
She was born April 14, 1924, at Tuscarawas County, O., to the late Claire (Miller) Groves and the late Alvin Groves.
She was a housewife and farmer.
She was a member of Hartwood Church of Newcomerstown and a member of Missionary Group and Tabitha Club of Hartwood Church.
On June 30, 1941, she married George H. Berkshire, who died Sept. 8, 1995.
Survivors include three sons, Blaine Berkshire, George R. Berkshire and wife Janet M., and John Berkshire and wife Anita, all of Newcomerstown; five grandchildren; three great-grandchildren.
Services will be held at Addy Funeral Home on Wednesday, Dec. 3, 2008, beginning at 11 a.m. Pastor Gene R. Miller will officiate. Burial will take place in Hartwood Church Cemetery at Newcomerstown, O. Visitation will be held in Addy Funeral Home on Tuesday (tonight), Dec. 2, 2008, from 5 to 7 p.m.
