| | | Mary E. Snell, 74, of 504 McKinley Ave., Newcomerstown, O., died Thursday, Nov. 27, 2008, in Union Hospital at Dover, O.
She was born July 18, 1934, in Coshocton County, O., the daughter of Bertha A. (Cognion) Green of Newcomerstown, O., and the late Roe S. Green.
Mary was a 1953 graduate of West Lafayette High School. She had previously worked at Thompson IGA at Newcomerstown and was a homemaker.
She is survived by her husband, Gerald D. Snell, whom she married March 4, 1956. She also is survived by four daughters, Linda Wark and husband, Bill, of Newark, Martha Moore and husband, Jim, of Newcomerstown, Gloria McDaniel and husband, Chuck, of Baltimore, O., and Diana Gadd and husband, Tom, of Mount Vernon; nine grandchildren, Jennifer Borowski, Lori Powers, Mike Moore, Kevin Moore, Dustin McDaniel, Kelli McDaniel, Ryan Gadd, Tara Gadd and Mitchel Gadd; five great-grandchildren; five brothers, Charles Green of West Lafayette, Raymond Green of West Lafayette, Paul Green of Guernsey, George Green and wife, Martha, of West Lafayette and Bill Green and wife, Cathy, of Newcomerstown; eight sisters, Pauline Russell and husband, Gary, of Newcomerstown, Emma Mullett of Fresno, Edna Patterson and husband, David, of West Lafayette, Jody Groff and husband, Ed, of Newcomerstown, Betty Troyer and husband, Ken, of Barberton, Rosemary Abel and husband, Jim, of Dover, Bertha Dusenberry and husband, Tom, of West Lafayette and Caroline Johnston and husband, Eric, of Plainfield.
Mary was preceded in death by one brother, Roe Green.
Services will be held at Addy Funeral Home at Newcomerstown on Monday, Dec. 1, 2008, beginning at 11 a.m. with Rev. Chauncey Eggan officiating. Burial will take place in West Lawn Cemetery at Newcomerstown.
Friends may call at the funeral home on Sunday, Nov. 30, 2008, from 2 to 5 p.m.
