| | | Doris V. Riddle, 88, of 1100 E. State Rd., Newcomerstown, O., died Sunday, Nov. 23, 2008, in Riverside Manor Nursing & Rehabilitation Center at Newcomerstown, O.
She was born Nov. 4, 1920, at Akron, O., to the late Winifred (Green) Riggle and the late Purdy J. Riggle. She was employed as a Nurses Aide. She was a member of Valley View Baptist Church of Port Washington.
In March 1939 she married Samuel Riddle, who died Sept. 17, 1996.
Survivors include three sons, Samuel E. Riddle of Mount Vernon, Harold R. Riddle and wife Laura of Missouri, and David L. Riddle and wife Betty of Fresno; two daughters, Winifred A. Watson and husband Robert of Newcomers-town and Sandra J. Wilhite of Mount Vernon; nine grandchildren; 12 great-grandchildren; and one brother, Norman David Riggle of Port Washington.
She was preceded in death by three brothers, Delno Riggle, Herb Riggle and Max Riggle, and one sister, Margaret Arlene Scarpinito.
Services will be held at Addy Funeral Home on Friday, Nov. 28, 2008, beginning at 11 a.m. Burial will be in West Union Cemetery on Gilmore Rd., Port Washington, O. Visitation will be in Addy Funeral Home on Wednesday, Nov. 26, 2008, from 6 p.m. to 8 p.m. and Friday, Nov. 28, 2008, from 9 a.m. to 11 a.m.
