| | | Wayne F. Baab, 81, of 814 Mill St., Apt. 23, Newcomerstown, O., died Friday, Nov. 21, 2008, in Oakpointe Nursing & Rehabilitation Center at Baltic, O.
He was born Aug. 31, 1927, at Baltic, O., the son of the late Caroline (Ott) Baab and the late Valentine Baab.
Wayne served in the World War II Army Air Corps stationed at Clark Air Force Base in the Philippines.
He was a carpenter and worked for Ott Brothers Construction for 24 years and Syl Hostetler Construction for 24 years.
A member of NewPointe Community Church near Dover, he was an usher and trustee for many years.
On Nov. 27, 1952, he married Mary K. (Stein) Baab, who survives. Survivors include two daughters, Lorraine George and husband Rev. Gary George of North Canton, Cindy Kinser and husband Mark of Gahanna; three grandchildren, Mark George and wife Heidi of Wilmore, Ky., Michael George of North Canton, Nathaniel Kinser of Gahanna; two sisters, Pauline Keen of Sebring, Maxine Foster and husband Wayne of Coshocton; one sister-in-law, Alverta Baab of Sugarcreek.
He was preceded in death by three brothers, Roland Baab, Doran Baab and Larry Baab; one brother-in-law, Don Keen; one sister-in-law, Marian Baab.
Services will be held at NewPointe Community Church at 3950 St. Rt. 39, Dover, on Saturday, Nov. 29, 2008, beginning at 11 a.m. Rev. Dwight Mason will officiate. Visitation will take place in NewPointe Community Church on Saturday, Nov. 29, 2008, from 10 a.m. to 11 a.m.
