| | | Wake Forest - Richard Cornelius Coats, 81, of 4429 Sandy Woods Drive, died peacefully Wednesday, October 14, 2009 at his home. Richard was born December 20, 1927 in Rochester, New York to the late George Henry Coats and Carrie Fuller Coats. He worked for 26 years as a Chemical Engineer with Pfaudler Company. He served his country in the United States Army stationed in the Philippine Islands during World War II.
Memorial Service: 11:00 a.m. Wednesday, October 21, 2009 at L. Harold Poole Funeral Service Chapel

Wife of 58 Years: Joyce Ehmke Coats
Daughters: Sandy C. Campbell and husband, David of Raleigh, Sheryl C. Lucas and husband, Gary of Rochester, NY
Son: Richard Lawrence Coats and wife, Cheryl Ann of Wake Forest
Grandchildren: Christopher Campbell
