| | | Bill Noble, age 63, of Ocheyedan, Iowa, passed away on Thursday, May 29, 2008, at the Osceola Community Hospital in Sibley, Iowa.
Memorial Service will be Monday, June 2, 2008 at 10:30 A.M. at the United Methodist Church in Ocheyedan, Iowa. Rev. Douglas Harding officiating.
Visitation will be Sunday, June 1, 2008, from 2:00 to 7:00 P.M. with the family present from 5:00 to 7:00 P.M. at the Andringa Funeral Chapel in Ocheyedan.
Bill “Billy Bob” Noble was born on December 22, 1944, in Sibley, Iowa. He was the son of Merle and I. Jeanette (Steffenhagen) Noble. He lived his youth and attended school in Ocheyedan, Iowa, where he graduated from high school.
He married Rita Allen of Ocheyedan, on June 18, 1965, in Ocheyedan. They were married for 25 years and remained friends.
Bill owned and operated the B-A-R in Ocheyedan, was employed by Timmons Trucking, was a driver for Well’s Blue Bunny and was employed by the Cooperative Elevator Association in Ocheyedan. He retired in 2006.
He enjoyed fishing, gambling, hunting asparagus, classic cars, cruising, and watching his granddaughter’s ball games.
Bill will be remembered by a lot of friends inside and outside the community.
He was a member of the United Methodist Church of Ocheyedan and a member of the Ocheyedan Fire Department, where he volunteered over 20 years.
He passed away on Thursday, May 29, 2008, at the Osceola Community Hospital in Sibley, Iowa.
Those left to cherish his memories are his children: Steven Noble and friend Ginger Van Lenning of Spirit Lake, IA; Laura and Tony Glade of Ocheyedan, IA; Leah Noble of Ocheyedan, IA; two granddaughters: Shania Noble and Morgan Glade; two brothers: Larry and Rosemary Noble of Hastings, MN, Denny and Kathy Noble of Saginaw, MI; two sisters: Marilyn and Richard Hoekstra of Ocheyedan, IA, Rita and Roger Brockshus of Spirit Lake, IA.
He was preceded in death by his parents and stillborn daughter.
